OPA-ASEF History

The Oregon Pilots Association - Air Safety and Education Foundation (OPA-ASEF) was created by the Oregon Pilots Association (OPA) in April of 1998 with generous donations from OPA members and a large contribution in the name of Ray Meyers from his family and many friends. OPA-ASEF is a 501(c)3 non-profit whose charter is to promote general aviation and aviation safety in Oregon.

OPA-ASEF Mission Statement

The Oregon Pilots Association Air Safety and Education Foundation will support charitable, educational and scientific programs to encourage aviation education and safety in the State of Oregon.

OPA-ASEF Sponsored Activities

OPA-ASEF is interested in partnering with others to sponsor activities promoting aviation in Oregon. We would especially like to continue our efforts to engage students or those just entering the aviation field. Please contact us with your ideas and suggestions.

Ray Meyer Memorial Flight Fund Scholarship $1,000.00

Each year OPA-ASEF works to provides one or more scholarships to aspiring student pilots to pursue their aviation dreams. Applications will be accepted from February 1 thru April 30 and awarded no later than June 1 at the OPA Annual Meeting and Conference.
